Muah Chee..Glutinous Rice Ball

Glutinous rice ball or famously known locally as Muah Chee is a well loved desserts here in Malaysia. Anyone would know the best place to find this delicious chewy snack is at the night market.
When my sons were little, this was their favorite snack during our rounding at the 'pasar malam'.
Those were one of my favorite moments.

This is the first time I'm trying this snack, thanks to my favorite Youtuber, Flavours of Asia. It turned out pretty good, I would definitely do this again.

1 Cup of Glutinous Rice Flour
A Pinch of Sea Salt
2 tsp of Peanut  Oil
3/4 cup Water

1/2 Cup of Roasted Peanuts, finely ground
4 Tbsp Cane Sugar
1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds,

Combine the chopped peanuts, sesame seed with sugar and mix well in a large pan.

Place the glutinous rice flour, sea salt, peanut oil, and water in a non-stick pan. Mix until the batter is smooth.
Cook the batter on low heat until the it thickens. The batter will appear like blob and sticks to the pan, but keep scrapping and  gather  the thick blob until a smooth dough has form.

When the dough is ready, remove from the heat and drop it to the prepare peanut mixture pan. Cut the dough into smaller pieces with a rubber spatula. Coat the small pieces of dough with the peanut mixtures. Serve immediately.

Enjoy...jue
