BUTTERMILK
 add 1 tablespoon of white distilled vinegar, cider vinegar, or lemon juice to 1 cup (240 ml) of milk. Let this mixture stand 5 to 10 minutes before using.


BAKING SODA ON CHOCOLATE CAKE
Baking soda is alkaline in nature. it's used in chocolate cakes to act as a leavening agent and to neutralize the acidic nature of chocolate/cocoa powder and to give the cake a darker colour. Chocolate cake will give you a sourish taste if you do not use baking soda.


SELF RAISING FLOUR
 For 1 cup of plain flour add 2 tsp of baking powder
