Texan Honey Butter Biscuits

The home folks really like this honey biscuits every time they go get their fried chicken, so me being me, just have to have a go with it. It's my new favorite now.

It's pretty decent actually, nice piping hot from the oven with a cuppa tea.

115g Unsalted Butter - cut into small pieces (Cold)
150g Whole Milk (Cold)
A
226g Plain/All Purpose Flour 35g Castor Sugar 4g Salt 14g Baking Powder
Glaze 30g Unsalted Butter 45g Honey

In a large bowl, whisk  A.
Add the cold butter pieces and with the tip of your finger gently rub, until it resembles fine sand or breadcrumbs.
.
Gently pour in the cold milk a little at a time and using a spatula gently mix well without being too vigorous, else you will work the gluten and the biscuit will be hard. Mix as little as possible.

Using a ice-cream scoop, scoop a scoopful on a prepared tray. You would get about 9 or 10 biscuits.
Neatly pat  dough round the scoop without pressing it down.
Put the tray in the freezer for about half an hour.
Preheat the oven the oven at 190 degree Celsius.

Bake for 20 minutes until the top is crusted and brown.

Now make the glaze, melt butter and honey, in a microwave or stovetop.
When the cookies are out, rub the glaze all over the biscuit generously.
Put it back in the oven for another 3 minute, on the top rack to get a crusted top.

When it's out, rub the glaze all over again.

Done. Enjoy it warm.
