Oil Pastry Chicken Pie



There are days when I just don't know what to cook and this good old Chicken pie never fail to come to my rescue. No doubt it takes quite a bit of time to make this but the effort is well worth. 

The worst part is, this pie is just not enough for the whole family of six who's not satisfied with just one serving.  Sigh.

First we need to make the pastry. I am using Oil pastry and I must say this is one delicious crust.  


When you have lined the pan with your pastry, gently pour the Chicken stew ( please click) and level it. Cover the pie with another sheet of pastry. 
Seal the seam with a fork or crimp it. With a sharp knife make a few slits the top and brush it with some beaten egg.

Bake the pie in a preheated oven (190 deg cel)  for about an hour. Remove and cool it before serving.
