Stir Fry Beef with spring onion
One of my favorite stir fry dish.
The trick to this dish is you must slice the meat thinly and a hot flame. You can use either pork, beef or fillet of chicken.
Personally I can't pick which is my favorite.
500g of finely sliced beef - pat dry the slices.
1 tsp of coarse pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt to taste.
Mix the above and set aside. In a non stick pan, heat 2 tbs of oil. Gently place the stripes of beef and cook till the both sides are lightly brown. It should take about 2min on both sides. Remove and set aside.
2 medium size onions sliced
3 pips of garlic - chopped
1in ginger- sliced thinly.
1 tsp sesame oil
Dash of light soy sauce
1 tbs of thick soy sauce
salt to taste
Pinch of course pepper
1 red chili - seeds removed and sliced
3 stalk of spring onion - cut in 1 in length
In a hot wok, add 2 tbs of oil and add the onion, garlic and ginger. Stir for a minute.
Add the cooked beef.
Add the rest of the ingredients, except the spring onion, giving it a good stir until the meat is well combined.
Off the heat and add the spring onion, or sprinkle some sesame seeds.
Serve hot with rice or even noodles.
Enjoy...jue
